OVID TWP, Mich. (WILX) -The Ovid-Middlebury Fire Department announced the death of firefighter Tyler Pease, who died in a vehicle accident.

In a social media post on Facebook , the fire department said Pease was killed in the crash, though officials did not release additional details about the accident.

“Tyler was tragically taken from us in a vehicle accident, leaving a tremendous void in the lives of all who knew and loved him,” the department said in a statement.

The department described Pease as a devoted family member and friend whose kindness, humor, and big heart touched everyone around him.

“Our department is grieving alongside the Pease family, and we ask our community to please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss,” the statement sai
