Coach Brent Venables and the OU football team's playoff outcome has been pretty consistent since the first committee rankings were released: the No. 8 Sooners would host the No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the first round.

With the final rankings set to come out at 11 a.m. CT Sunday, it still looks like the College Football Playoff and Notre Dame could very well be en route to Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Or maybe Miami could be on its way. Time will tell.

OU (10-2, 6-2 SEC) did what it had to do after its upset at Alabama on Nov. 15 put the Sooners in the playoff picture — win the last two games against Missouri and LSU.

Now, the Sooners will soon know what awaits them.
