Many changes in the college football coaching landscape have been arriving over the past several weeks, including big moves for Lane Kiffin, James Franklin, and Billy Napier. Recently, Matt Campbell took the head coaching position at Penn State after coaching Iowa State for 10 seasons.
After spending so much time as the Cyclones coach, he built many strong relationships with players and staff at the program. That includes Iowa State's athletic director, Jamie Pollard, who spoke about seeing Campbell leave the school for a new job.
Pollard said he was sad to see him go, also suggesting that the school needs to build a statue in Campbell’s honor “at some point in the future” due to him doing “more for Iowa State football than anybody ever has.”
