The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) has just released a memo ordering the National Park Service staff to review all retail items sold at the parks' gift shops and bookstores to ensure they're all in compliance with President Donald Trump's executive orders on gender and diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI).

DOI Comptroller Director Jessica Bowron released the memorandum on November 25 to all associate, regional, and assistant directors at the National Park Service (NPS). According to the memo obtained by the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), park staff must have all items reviewed by December 19 and must remove those that are not compliant with the Secretary's Order (SO) 3416 .
