CANTON — Below are updates and analysis from Saturday’s Division V state championship game between Liberty Center and Wheelersburg.

FIRST QUARTER
■ What happened: Liberty Center had good field position to start after a Wheelersburg squib kick. But the Tigers, who had the ball at their 45, went three and out and punted into the end zone.
The Tigers then quickly forced a Pirates’ punt after a sack by Logan Sifuentes and a third-down stop by Kellen Wymer.
The Tigers took a 7-0 lead with 2:06 left in the first quarter. LC picked up four first downs and got inside the red zone on a 34-yard pass from Kaden Kreinbrink to Isaiah Badenhop. Thomas Mohler then scored on a one-yard run.
