Niwot junior Genevieve Saunders was named BoCoPreps and the Class 4A gymnast of the year after winning the 4A individual all-around title for a second straight season last month.

She led 13 area gymnasts on CHSAA’s all-state team.

Alongside Saunders, Kylee Schlepp, Charlotte O’Neill and Lilly O’Neill made the 4A first team for the Cougars, who won the team title. Among the first teamers’ state contributions, Schlepp took fourth in vault, while Saunders, Charlotte and Lilly O’Neill went one-two-three on the beam. Sienna Wood, meanwhile, was second team for Niwot, while Isabella Foster and Charlotte Bronski were honorable mentions.
