EAST LANSING, MI –– A sea of ‘Thank You’ signs filled the Izzone during halftime of the Michigan State basketball game on Saturday, Dec. 6.

A warm reception accompanied the signs, as Greg and Dawn Williams walked to half court.

The day before, the pair were responsible for the largest donation in university history: $401 million.

Greg Williams is the co-founder and CEO of Acrisure – a financial technology and insurance company based in Grand Rapids – and Dawn Williams previously contributed $25 million to the university, including a $10 million donation in 2021 to help fund construction of the Tom Izzo Football Building.

The donation features $290 million earmarked toward FOR SPARTA, a $1 billion capital initiative launched earlier in the week by athletic director J Batt.
