INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana football receiver Omar Cooper Jr. suffered a lower body injury on the opening possession of the Big Ten title game on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The No. 2 Hoosiers' (12-0, 9-0 Big Ten) leading receiver was trying to track down a deep ball from Fernando Mendoza that was broken up by safety Lorenzo Styles Jr.

Cooper, a Lawerence North grad, came up limping right away and eventually made his way to the trainer's tent with a noticeable limp. He finished the regular season with career-highs in receptions (58), receiving yards (804) and touchdowns (11).

Mendoza suffered an injury scare on the opening play of the drive, but only missed one play before coming back in the game.
