DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - One person was hospitalized after a house fire Saturday, December 6, according to Danville Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at 4:31 p.m. to a reported structure fire at 460 Parker Road, where smoke was coming from the front of a mobile home. A bedroom was on fire with no extension to the rest of the home, according to firefighters.
Firefighters say they extinguished the fire, ventilated the smoke, and checked for any hotspots.
No injuries were reported from emergency crews, but the injured occupant was transported to SOVAH ER. The extent of the occupant’s injuries was not released.
The Danville Fire Marshal’s office arrived on scene to investigate a cause.
