Alabama football now has to wait and see if the loss to Georgia keeps them out of the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide fell 28-7 on Saturday in the SEC Championship Game.
Kalen DeBoer made his pitch after the game as to why his 10-3 team should make the 12-team field.
“You look at the games we played throughout the season, but if you’re really looking at this game, it was a 14-point game with 7.5 minutes to go, and we had the ball,” DeBoer said. “You look at things that didn’t go well. Four short fields. I don’t want to take anything away from what Georgia did. Field position battle is part of it. Four short fields. That’s a testament to our defense being resilient.”
