The South Dakota football team kept its 2025 season alive with a dominating win over Mercer in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday, Dec. 6.
The Coyotes (10-4) took down the Bears with ease, earning a 47-0 victory over the home team. USD got out to a fast start, finding the end zone just about six minutes into the game. The Coyotes scored on four of their first five possessions and only punted once in the first half.
On the day, quarterback Aidan Bouman went 13-for-18 for 241 yards and two scores. Tysen Boze and Larenzo Fenner both had 100 or more yards receiving and a score.
The ground game was dominant for USD as well, with L.J. Phillips Jr and Carson Fletcher both running for over 100 yards on the day. Phillips Jr. posted 160 yards and two scores on just 10 carries while
