Syracuse, N.Y. - A woman was stabbed near Columbus Circle in downtown Syracuse on Saturday night, police said.

At around 6:34 p.m., Syracuse police officers arrived at the 200 block of East Onondaga Street to find a 30-year-old woman with a stab wound to her chest, according to Syracuse police spokesperson Sgt. Thomas Blake.

Seven Syracuse police officers, five police cars and a crime scene unit van were seen near Columbus Circle at around 7:10 p.m. Saturday.

The woman was transported to Upstate University Hospital by American Medical Response, Blake said. Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening, he said.
