Syracuse, N.Y. — Christian Brothers Academy football won a third straight Class AA state championship, 41-12, over Section II’s Saratoga Springs on Saturday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Saturday’s victory marked CBA’s fourth state title in five years, a feat accomplished only by Maine-Endwell (2011-14) and Tioga (2021-23, 25).
Six other teams have won three straight New York state championships, though Mike Hart’s 2001-2003 Onondaga squads are the only ones from Section III to do so. CBA is the first school in the 30-year history of the Class AA state tournament to win three straight.
After both teams punted on their opening drives, CBA got the ball back at Saratoga Springs’ 35-yard line. Three plays later, Isaiah Coleman waltzed to a 29-yard touchdown down the sideline off a pass
