BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- St. Peter’s Varsity ice hockey team exploded offensively on Friday night, overpowering Holy Cross, 11–2, in CHSAA A Division action at the Aviator Rink.
The victory evens the Eagles’ record at 2–2 and showcased a lineup firing on all cylinders.
From the opening faceoff, St. Peter’s set the tone. Nick Aversa struck just 32 seconds into the game, burying a feed from Anthony Antenucci and Joseph Donadio to make it 1–0. Moments later, Antenucci delivered again — this time a perfectly threaded pass to Kingston Vandenheuvel, who snapped home the Eagles’ second goal only 1:26 later.
Antenucci wasn’t done. At 4:39, he went coast-to-coast, slicing through the defense to extend the lead to 3–0.
What followed was an avalanche of St. Peter’s offense.
