Alabama football had a chance to make things easy on Saturday. Beat Georgia in the SEC championship game , lock up a College Football Playoff spot.
Even if the Crimson Tide could just keep things competitive, it seemed guaranteed that it would be in the field. Instead, UA did neither.
Alabama lost 28-7. It looked thoroughly outclassed by the Bulldogs in every phase of the game
Now, UA players are hoping for an act of charity by the selection committee.
“They’ve seen how resilient we have been throughout the whole season,” Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard said after the loss. “They see our strength of schedule. I mean, we can kind of just put it in their hands. But in my opinion, we deserve to be in.”
Alabama’s offense looked horrendous throughout the game against the Bulldogs.
