SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -It was a jolly time in downtown Springfield Saturday morning, and it was for a good cause.
The Jingle Bell Run helped raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.
The Springfield community put on their favorite holiday gear and helped raise money to find a cure.
Officials said participants and donors came through, beating their $20,000 goal.
“First year back after a long break. We had it in the early 2000s. This year, we’re bringing it back, and we’ve exceeded our goal. We raised over $32,000 and had 330 participants register. It was such a great turnout for the first event,” said Leah Levin with the Arthritis Foundation - Missouri.
The run took place in Jordan Valley Park.
