FORT COLLINS — Some of the numbers were more than impressive for the Colorado men’s basketball team. But thanks to some shoddy perimeter defense, those numbers didn’t add up to victory.
The Buffaloes once again turned in a stellar showing on offense, yet Colorado State’s offense was even better as the Rams handed the Buffs a 91-86 defeat on Saturday afternoon at Moby Arena.
Freshman forward Alon Michaeli came off the bench to go 8-for-12 with a team-high 19 points, as CU continued its streak of having at least four players score in double figures in every game. Michaeli also hit a season-high three 3-pointers, going 3-for-5 and giving him a 7-for-12 mark from the arc in the past three games.
