ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - No. 3 Michigan State hockey bounced back in a big way with a 3-1 victory over No. 1 Michigan on the road on Saturday night.

The Wolverines got on the board first on a Will Horcoff goal to give Michigan a 1-0 lead. It stayed that way until the end of the second period when Anthony Romani scored to knot the score at one apiece.

A couple minutes into the third period, Romani went five-hole and scored his second goal of the game to give MSU a 2-1 lead.

Porter Martone put the finishing touches on this one with an empty-net goal to help Michigan State capture a 3-1 victory.

Michigan State is next in action in the GLI first-round matchup against Ferris State on Dec. 28. Michigan next plays Notre Dame on Jan. 9.
