MASSAC COUNTY — After announcing in September a December trial date, the lawsuit by the City of Metropolis and Massac County against Honeywell has been rescheduled.

The lawsuits against Honeywell began with a class action lawsuit filed on May 16, 2018, at Benton’s federal courthouse against Honeywell International Inc. The suit sought money and punitive damages for Metropolis/Massac County residents for damages due to toxic radiation discharges from the plant, located on U.S. 45 just north of Metropolis’ city limits.
