HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The YWCA of Adams County hosted a luncheon and holiday house tour Saturday, featuring a historic building that once served as a Union Pacific Railroad passenger depot.
The event began with a luncheon at the Wine and Cheese Shop in downtown Hastings before moving to Eileen Harman’s house. The building previously operated as a passenger depot, dance hall and restaurant, serving as a community hub for thousands of people in Hastings.
Harman, the founder of Eileen’s Cookies, renovated the former depot and transformed it into a home.
