Syracuse, N.Y. — The Christian Brothers Academy football team’s run has been nothing short of dynastic.

The Brothers defeated Section II’s Saratoga Springs 41-12 in the Class AA state championship on Saturday at the JMA Wireless Dome to claim their third straight state crown and fourth in five years.

Typically, it’s the offense getting all the glory, but flying under the radar has been a dominant defense that just had a season for the ages.

CBA (13-0) allowed 119 points this season for an average of 9.2 points per game. The starting defense allowed roughly five points per game when excluding special teams and garbage-time scores, according to CBA defensive coordinator Brian Bruno.
