Miami, Dec 7: Lionel Messi described it as a “beautiful, emotional moment” after guiding Inter Miami to their maiden MLS Cup title with a 3-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. Messi provided two assists, securing his 44th senior career title and third with Miami.

The victory marks the club’s biggest achievement since its launch in 2020 with backing from David Beckham. Messi, named MLS Cup MVP, said winning the league had been the team’s primary goal. “It’s a very new club.
