CANTON — The grind was real for the Liberty Center offense.

In an era of high-powered passing offenses, the Tigers took fans back a few decades with a methodical run game Saturday, Dec. 6 .

Liberty Center used it to control the clock and pound out a 35-3 win over Wheelersburg in the OHSAA Division V championship game .

Liberty Center used the bruising combination of Garrison Kruse and Thomas Mohler to great effect in controlling the clock and pace of play throughout the night. Kruse ran for 84 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries while Mohler ran for 95 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
