WACO, Texas (KBTX) - One year ago to the day, Brazos Christian football lost to Dallas First Baptist Academy in the TAPPS Division IV state championship game at Waco ISD Stadium.
Even amid coaching and roster changes, Saturday was Deja vu for the Eagles. The athletic plays from the Saints were too much to handle in a 62-44 loss in the 2025 TAPPS Division IV state championship game at Waco ISD Stadium.
“I believe that there is a reason that this happened, and I think we need to remember it,” Brazos Christian head coach Jordan Black said. “We need to evaluate it and use it to improve. So there’s a lot of life lessons here on this field today, and we can be better people, better players if we use it how we should.”
