A tragic fire broke out at the nightclub Birch by Romeo Lane in Goa's Arpora village, killing at least 23 individuals, including three tourists. The venue, located about 25 km from Panaji, saw most victims as kitchen staff, with three women among the deceased, according to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasizing that the loss of lives was 'deeply painful'.
