Lansing — The mystery surrounding a set of Detroit Lions tickets provided through a lobbying firm to Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall and a family member took a turn last week when lawyer Bob LaBrant suddenly withdrew a complaint he had submitted about the transaction.
On Nov. 25, The Detroit News revealed that Hall obtained tickets through Public Affairs Associates, which represents the Lions , for the team's Nov. 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Michigan law bars lobbyists from giving state officeholders gifts valued at more than $79.
