New Delhi, Dec 07: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has mandated IndiGo to process all pending passenger refunds by 8 PM on Sunday, December 7, amidst ongoing disruptions affecting the airline, which have led to the cancellation of 405 domestic flights over five days.
The directive includes the prohibition of rescheduling charges for affected passengers and warns that delays in refund processing could result in regulatory actions. The government has also instructed IndiGo to deliver misplaced baggage to passengers’ homes within 48 hours and to maintain transparent communication regarding delivery timelines.
Additionally, IndiGo must establish dedicated support cells to effectively address grievances and ensure prompt refunds and travel arrangements without requiring multiple follow-ups.
