BROOKLYN, Mich. (WILX) -People visited Michigan International Speedway for its 17th annual MIS Cares Charity Track and Toy Drive.
The event allows people to bring and donate toys and food in exchange for a drive around the track in their own vehicle.
Joe Fowler, president of Michigan International Speedway, shared why they feel it’s important to have this event for the community.
“Well, for us it’s rewarding because we have so many generous people in our community that want to help and we have so many people in need in our community that also need the help,” Fowler said. “What really matters at the end of the day is we’re helping people that need it right here right now.”
All donations from the event will support local charitable foundations.
