WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — If you’re heading out to pick up a Christmas tree this year, you might notice something interesting at the checkout - while artificial trees are seeing a slight price increase, the cost of real Christmas trees is holding steady, at least at one local tree farm.
Whitehouse Christmas Tree Farm say the tariffs driving up costs across the country aren’t affecting them here at home. Because real trees are grown right in northwest Ohio , their prices are staying steady even as artificial trees edge higher.
On Saturday, families spent the day searching for the perfect tree, nurtured on the farm for nearly a decade before being cut.
“These trees are all grown on the farm. Here, we just need God’s help with water, sunlight, and time,” said Duke Wheeler, co-owner of Whitehous
