Auburn senior Ryan Maher competed at the Nike Cross Nationals on Saturday at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon.
Out of 201 runners, Maher finished 128th with a time of 16:40.4.
Jackson Spencer of Herriman, Utah — who is set to compete at BYU next year — won the Nike Cross Nationals title in 15:01.1.
The squad from Niwot, Colorado, secured the team title with a score of 67. Herriman came in second (97), while Christian Brothers Academy out of New Jersey took third (110).
Maher kicked off postseason running by recording a victorious time of 15:32.8 in the SCAC championship race on Oct. 22.
The senior then captured the Section III Class A crown on Nov. 8 at Mount Markham High School. The senior posted a winning time of 15:10.4, beating his teammate Owen Gasper by 16 seconds
