Quaint village two hours from Bristol that stars in popular films View 2 Images

With temperatures plummeting, going out and exploring new places may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But there are many Bristolians still wanting to get out and about to charming, picturesque places.

And what better way to get into the festive spirit than visit the place that features in one one of the most popular Christmas film starring Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz - The Holiday. The small village of Shere is just over two hours' drive from Bristol and sits between the towns of Guildford and Dorking in Surrey.

Back in 2022 My London reported that the village had been voted as ‘one of the most beautiful villages in England’ and that ‘it really comes alive during the festive season’.
