Oregon is in line to host a College Football Playoff game, most likely against a the champion of a non-Power conference.

The No. 5 Ducks (11-1) entered the weekend in position to host a first round game at Autzen Stadium on either December 19 or 20.

With No. 2 Indiana defeating No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Georgia winning the SEC Championship and No. 4 Texas Tech winning the Big 12 Championship, Oregon’s chances of moving up and receiving a first round bye are effectively eliminated. Teams ranked Nos. 6-8 were also idle this weekend, leaving Oregon in position to remain the No. 5 seed and host the No. 12 seed.
