CORSICANA, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M football team finished their 2025-26 season with a win at the 2025 Heritage Bowl after taking down Arkansas Tech, 28-27.

After the Wonder Boys scored the first touchdown and won the first quarter 7-0, WT controlled the narrative the rest of the way. But, it came down to the final seconds when Arkansas Tech scored a touchdown. The Buffs sealed the win when Miles Hill knocked the ball away on the two-point conversion attempt, ending the game.

Quarterback RJ Martinez was named the bowl’s MVP. He completed 32-44 passes for 407 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. On the ground, he had another touchdown and 27 yards on six attempts.

Jayden Hibbler was responsible for the bulk of the WT rushing yards, gaining 90 yards on a dozen attempts.
