Bhatkal : At least 23 people were killed and more than 50 others injured after a massive and devastating fire broke out at a nightclub in Arpora, North Goa. The incident occurred at around 1 AM when the club was preparing to close for the night. Arpora is a leafy inland locality situated around 100 km from Karwar, a border town of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka.

According to sources, a large number of staff members and other individuals were still inside when the fire erupted, resulting in one of the deadliest fire tragedies in recent years in Goa's nightlife hubs.
