SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Patchy areas of fog start our day on parts of the Suncoast. Any fog should burn off by 9 AM. Humidity is high again for Sunday. Dew points will hold near 70 today, then humidity levels will drop on Monday.

Scattered thunderstorms will develop late Sunday and Sunday Night. We may see some interesting lightning. When thunder roars, go indoors! It is not safe to be outside in a lightning storm. Late Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day for us.

So far, December has been very warm. Temperatures have been 5° above average. That’s about to change with a cooler week ahead. December has also been dry. We’re close to 3” below normal rainfall for the year with Severe Drought conditions on the Suncoast.
