Local art lovers have a new reason to celebrate: Monroe Art League is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan to launch a series of art shows at Art Works in Lambertville, according to a community announcement.

The first event is scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 11 at Art Works, 7300 Secor Road, Suite 4. The opening reception will feature artists Renee Spears and Debbie Conner. Admission is free, and the public is invited, according to the announcement.

The exhibit will remain on display through Jan. 20. All pieces are available for purchase, and Art Works is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spears is an award-winning mosaic artist, and Conner is a longtime art educator who serves as Monroe Art League’s co-vice president.
