Canadian singer and songwriter Michael Bublé performed on Saturday at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Leo XIV, who sat in the audience and sang along to some of the songs.
The sixth edition of “Concert with the Poor” was held in the Paul VI Hall, and the Nova Opera Orchestra and the Choir of the Diocese of Rome also performed.
Bublé performed famous songs from his repertoire such as ‘Feeling Good’ and ‘L.O.V.E.’ whilst also adding in a few iconic Christmas tunes such as ‘It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’.
He also performed 'Ave Maria' in Latin.
The concert was organised in collaboration with numerous charities, including Caritas Roma, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Circolo San Pietro, Centro Astalli for Refugees, ACLI Roma and the Comunità Giovanni XXIII.
After the concert, a dinner was offered to more than 3,000 people in need.
