Qualifiers for soccer’s 2026 World Cup learned their group matchups on Dec. 5.
Now those teams and fans know who will be playing where and when.
Philadelphia will host several of the World Cup’s elite national teams, including previous winners Brazil and France.
Lincoln Financial Field is one of 11 United States sites for World Cup games, along with three in Mexico and two in Canada.
The 48 teams, making this the largest World Cup ever, are divided into 12 groups of four, with the top two in each group and eight third-place teams among 36 advancing to the elimination round. Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!
