Paramount Plus has confirmed the future of the Billy Bob Thornton drama

Paramount Plus has officially confirmed that Taylor Sheridan's acclaimed drama Landman will return for a third season whilst the second series is still broadcasting , delighting devoted viewers.

Set in West Texas, the programme presents a contemporary tale of wealth-seeking within the oil rig industry, inspired by the podcast Boomtown.

Billy Bob Thornton excels as Tommy Norris, who during the second season has been grappling with increasing demands from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore) and his own relatives.

The show's official X account announced the renewal, stating: "What's better than season 2? Season 3! More #Landman coming to @paramountplus."
