Freeland pulled away in the second half Saturday to claim the Sean Pollion Boys Basketball Invitational championship at Petoskey.
The Falcons knocked off Menominee on Friday and followed with a 69-54 victory over Petoskey in the title game to improve to 3-0.
Freeland led 34-27 at halftime, outscoring Petoskey, 35-27, in the second half for the win.
Wilson Huckeby led the Falcons with 19 points, followed by Tucker Hileman with 16 and Tristan Comer with 12. Petoskey’s Braeden Flynn led all scorers with 24 points.

Saginaw United trailed 27-25 at halftime before using a 16-9 advantage in the fourth quarter to snare the win. Lemonte Wiley led the 2-1 Phoenix with 20 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. Trevon Parham added 16. Kendreyes
