Hyderabad traffic police caught 474 people driving drunk during weekend checks. Most were two-wheeler riders, followed by three-wheeler and four-wheeler drivers. Nine had extremely high alcohol levels. All offenders will be taken to court for legal action.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police on Saturday, during checking done to prevent drunken driving, caught 474 persons who were found driving vehicles in an inebriated condition. The police booked cases against all of them.
The highest number of persons caught are two-wheeler riders – 381, followed by three-wheeler drivers – 26, and 67 four-wheeler drivers. Nine persons recorded a BAC level above 300 mg/100 ml. All those caught will be produced before the court concerned.
