TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo man faces felony theft and identity fraud charges for allegedly stealing an elderly person’s credit card and using it to buy alcohol and cigarettes.
Police arrested Angus F. Blaze, 50, on Saturday morning, according to jail records.
On Sept. 11, he “knowingly stole the victim’s credit card without permission,” police said in court documents.
Authorities said Blaze used the victim’s Ohio driver’s license and credit card to buy cigarettes and a Four Loko.
Police filed charges in court on Nov. 20, records show.
Blaze is charged with identity fraud, a fourth-degree felony. He’s also charged with theft, which is a fifth-degree felony because the victim is in a protected class.
