Melissa McCarthy returned to host Saturday Night Live ( SNL ) on December 6 for the sixth time since 2011, becoming the fourth woman to host the beloved late night show more than five times.
This puts her straight among the most prolific hosts in the history of SNL , overtaking huge names like Bill Murray, Tina Fey and Justin Timberlake.
On November 15, according to the latest data made available from USTVDB, 4,165,000 people tuned in to watch the show.

McCarthy returned to SNL on Saturday, December 6, to host the show for the first time in eight years. She had already hosted the show five times between 2011 and 2017, earning the Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series that last year.
