MOORHEAD — In September 2023, Darrell Hansen said he was closing his long-time West Fargo furniture store and was ready to enter the ranks of the recently retired.

Or so it seemed.

Turns out, Hansen had some inventory left over from his Furniture for Less store.

That's when Jesse Kennedy, a former employee of Hansen's from Furniture for Less, told Hansen he could store the extra inventory in a small commercial space next to Fit Republic, a smoothie and juice bar Kennedy operates in downtown Moorhead.

Hansen ended up moving his inventory into the corner storefront at Fourth Street and Main Avenue in Moorhead and started selling off the leftover merchandise, little by little.
