DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The annual Christmas tree sale at Brady Street Stadium is open for the season, offering real Christmas trees while raising money for Quad Cities youth programs and charities.

The Davenport Noon Optimist Club has organized the event in the stadium’s parking lot since 1952. This year, the club introduced a new self-checkout option that allows customers to complete their purchase independently by scanning a QR code at the site.

Community impact and pricing

Brian Monroe, co-chair of the Davenport Noon Optimist Club, said the sale generates significant funds for local causes.

“The Christmas tree sale each year, we sell, if we sell out, we sell roughly $40,000 in trees, and half of that is profit that goes back into the community,” Monroe said.
