Virginia’s Drunk Raccoon Makes It To SNL As Sarah Sherman Steals The ‘Weekend Update’ Desk

The drunk raccoon who ransacked a Virginia liquor store has now made its way to New York.

"Saturday Night Live" had some fun with the raccoon that made national headlines after going on a bender at the Ashland ABC Store in a "Weekend Update" skit.

Host Colin Jost welcomed the "drunk raccoon" to the set, played by Sarah Sherman, who stole the show as she stumbled around the desk with a half-empty bottle of booze.

"God, Colin, what happened last night... Did we hook up?" Sherman said while sporting a raccoon outfit. "Like what you see? The problem is I can't get drunk in a bathroom without people taking a picture of me face up and ass down." 

A bumbling, stumbling Sherman proceeded to fall off the desk, and at one point lost her bottle of booze, much to the audience's delight.

There was also the question of raccoon representation in the media.

When Jost asked her whether Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies is considered a positive representation of raccoons, she said, “I wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen it — I’m not a virgin.”
