Michigan, as was expected, will play in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
The Wolverines (9-3) will face Texas (9-3) on Dec. 31 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. This will be the program’s seventh appearance in the Citrus Bowl, and the first since Jan. 1, 2020, a 35-16 loss to Alabama. The playoff matchups and bowl selections were revealed Sunday. The game will start at 3 p.m. and will be televised on ABC.
For a second straight season, Michigan did not make the College Football Playoff. The Wolverines are coming off a 27-9 loss to Ohio State, snapping a four-game winning streak against the Buckeyes.
The Wolverines finished the regular season ranked 58th in total offense (398.9 yards), 105th in passing (185.8) and 71st in scoring
