BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team took care of business against an NAIA opponent on Sunday as the Falcons trounced Aquinas College 131-50 at the Stroh Center.

The team’s 131 points was just shy of the single-game program record set in 1989 against Siena when BG scored 136.

Aquinas trailed just 10-9 less than five minutes into play. But the Falcons went on a 40-10 run over the next 10 minutes en route to a 71-26 halftime advantage.

Twelve different BG players scored in the win. Leading the way was Aiden Goins, who poured in 24 points off the bench in just 14 minutes thanks to a 9-for-11 performance from the field and going 5-for-5 at the free-throw line.
