Canadian speed skaters capped the final day of the third World Cup stop of the season with a silver in women’s team sprint.
Calgary’s Brooklyn McDougall, Béatrice Lamarche of Quebec City and Ottawa’s Ivanie Blondin posted a time of one minute 26.05 seconds in the first team sprint of the season.
They finished 0.87 seconds behind the gold medalists from the Netherlands.
Poland, which skated alongside the Dutch in the final pairing, took bronze with a time of 1:26.65.
Blondin narrowly missed another medal Sunday when she finished fourth in the women’s mass start.
Her time of 8:08.30 was behind Marijke Groenewoud of the Netherla
