JACKSON, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two of them.

Labi is a 10-month-old solid black Labrador Retriever mix that came in as a stray.

Labi is not as large as a typical Labrador as she is just 38 pounds. This pup has lots of happy energy and gets so excited to come out of the kennel, her whole body wiggles.

Labi had lots of fun playing in the snow but always comes back to her human for some loving. Labi is house trained and particular about who might be her dog friends.

She just needs someone who can spend some time teaching new things and going on new experiences.

Meow is a 1- year-old tabby cat that was surrendered by her owner that just had too many animals.

She has the tiger stripes and some brown
